We recently visited Geoffrey Bawa’s country house on the banks of the Dedduwa lake in Bentota, Sri Lanka. Beautiful, serene, majestic, these words cannot fully describe the act of experiencing these surroundings.
Current state of the project. We are finally reaching completion of the galleries portion of the project. See here some recent photos of the office areas for the galleries.
Rainscreen installation in progress. The start of the terracotta baguettes installation has begun. Fabrication of the cement backer boards, custom metal angles/clips and baguettes had to be closely coordinated to assemble as a kit of parts on site. Thanks to the close collaboration by everyone involved the installation is going according to plan.
We are starting to seal the building envelope. A few layers will be installed in order to create the desired look and performance of our custom rain screen detail.

We visited the Chihuly installation at the New York Botanical Gardens. The sculpture’s dazzling colors and unique shapes stand out in the gardens. It was a magical way to spend the day. https://www.nybg.org/event/chihuly-2/
