The Mediterranean Sea has become a thick border. Women, absent from the grand narrative of migration, have always been on the move. Cathryn Boch creates personal, carnal, militant counter-geographies with her sewing machine, expressing the urgency of returning to the gesture to speak of exclusion, oppression, violence and survival.
